Drawing is very good for your mental health because it helps alleviate stress. Also, it is good for your emotional health because It clears your mind because you focus so much on the drawing that you forget a lot of everything else so when you finish your picture you can focus more on what is troubling you.

If you start drawing and really like it, yes, it might become an addiction for life. I would not say though that a bad one.
