My theory:
1. Price was successfully resuscitated after Soap was lifted on the chopper by Kamarov at the end of COD4. But Kamarov and Price weren't the best friends (remember where Price and Gaz threatened to throw him down a ledge so he would speak of Nikolai's location). So maybe Kamarov captured Price for that. What really makes this unlike is the fact that Kamarov was kind and helpful at the end ("You are gonna be OK my friend!") and he couldn't just capture Price secretly.
2. Price gained consciousness somehow later, and was captured by Makarov's men. Makaron is Zakhaev's lieutenant.

∙ 13y agoI haven't played the game myself, but i have beaten COD 4. At the end, players see Captain Price is "dead." I believe that he was left there while the USMC and SAS evacuate before reinforcements came. Price revives, only to find out that his allies have abandoned him, and is taken into custody by enemy forces where players find him in COD 6.

∙ 14y agoAt the end of Call of Duty 4 Price gets injured and the Russian spec ops team take him to a Russian hospital. When Russia attacks the U.S.A. Price is held as a hostage/prisoner.
