Ocean water contains salt. When salt water is in the cell, the body uses its water to dilute the salt. If you drink large amounts of salt water, you won't have any fresh water to replenish the water you lost diluting all that salt.

good to drink. However, i have read of people who did survive by
drinking it - it made them sick but they lived longer than they would
have with no water.
