I guess it has to do with the freedom that they perceive is associated with getting a drivers license. Its a huge milestone for them as well as a big accomplishment for them. I remember when I was in school it was a big thing to have a license so another aspect of importance is the "points" they receive from their peers.
Gives freedom, independence.
Teenagers like to know that they have the freedom to do many thing and not get in trouble. It is important to them to have a license because they think it's cool to drive their very own car.

All US states issue learners drivers permits to teenagers, IF you qualify and pass the tests.
Since you license is expired you'll have to take the drivers test like the teenagers. Try getting your license renewed in Michigan and then transfer it to Tennessee. Hope this helps.
As long as your teenager was properly insured and he was not involved in the commission of a crime at the time of the accident, nothing should happen to your teenagers driver license.
You are not a teenager if you are over 19. It depends on your state rules but all require a license.

It is nice to have a drivers education course because it is important to have one in order to receive your drivers license. Classes in your area can help you get your permit and license!
No, that's stupid and only leads to teenagers driving without a license. We'd also run out of truck drivers. Driving a car should be a constitutional right!
If your drivers license is revoked in one state, can you get a drivers license in another state?
