To be endothermic basically means to be "warm-blooded", which has a great advantage. Ectothermic (cold-blooded) creatures such as reptiles and amphibians have to bask in the sun in order to get their bodies energized and hence do not function well in cold conditions. Endothermic animals on the other hand, namely birds and mammals, keep a constant body temperature so they always have energy to spare.

Is burning sugar endothermic?

Endothermic means absorbing thermal energy, so of course not. There is no such thing as sugar getting cold when it's burning. Burning sugar is exothermic, meaning it releases heat.

Its endothermic :)

Is freeezing endothermic or exothermic?

Freezing is exothermic, as the substance that is freezing loses energy to its surroundings.

Is a maned wolf endothermic or ectothermic?

Yes. A wolf is endothermic, able to maintain its own body temperature. It is a mammal, and mammals and birds are endothermic. The term 'endothermic' is the biological term for an animal that is warm-blooded.

It is endothermic. Endothermic is to gain heat and Exothermic is to lose heat.

What is a chemical reaction that absorbs heat?

An endothermic reaction absorbs heat, an exothermic reaction releases heat.
