Tendons arent made to stretch.Their purpose is to connect the muscle to the bone.If stretched,the tendon might tear.Same goes for ligaments.You stretch your muscles!

This is because it has the most elastic tissue, and because ligaments and tendons (since they have less elastic tissue) are not intended to stretched very much at all. Overstretching them may weaken the joint's integrity and cause destabilization (which increases the risk of injury).

tendons are not designed to stretch, they are designed to attach muscles to bones. if they did stretch muscle contractions would not be as effective.
