the name orinoco river is originated from the word ornitorinco or platypus. also called duckbill, a semiaquatic, egg-laying mammal native to Tasmania and southern and eastern Australia. Egg-laying mammals are called monotremes; aside from the platypus, the only monotremes that exist are the echidnas. All other mammals give birth to live young. In outward appearance, the platypus is best known for its ducklike bill and webbed feet. These poisonous claws are why the the water the mamals inhabit have extremely high levels of toxicity in the water about 20% of each milileiter of water is poison. It is also a big question in the field of Biology as to why a duck and a beaver decided to get freaky.
