They are not--but understanding them is. They are the distillation of many ideas that had been floating around, but stating them so clearly and succinctly made them easy for anyone to understand. I strongly suggest reading some of the "Principia". This will show you why Newton was (and is) so highly regarded for his work. they were very important....they started a spark on the movements of science! they discuss almost eveery thing we use in everyday life
Newton's Laws are important for understanding the interaction of matter and gravity forces throughout the Universe. Also, without Newton's Laws you would not stick to the earth!

it allows the prediction of behaviors of bodies when forces act upon them assuming their mass is known ,and is uesful in just about all areas of physics . and also how large the force must be ,or acceleration will be. relatve to the bodies mass.

Because they formed the basis for the science of mechanics, which underpinned the Industrial Revolution and the development of modern industry. Still today, any machine, especially those in transport and industry, has to be designed and operated with these laws in mind. The development of relativity by Einstein, and quantum mechanics by others, has shown that Newton's Laws are not fully adequate in the cosmic and subatomic fields, but they still apply in everyday activities.

Newton's laws of motion are physical laws that laid the foundation of for mechanics. These are important because they explain the relationships between an object and any forces acting upon it, as well as its motion in response to these forces.

I dont know, why is ballistics important? why are automobiles important? why is the earth's orbit important? why is pretty much every technological advance in the modern era important? They all depend on fundamental natural laws attributed to newton.

The simplest answer is: Without Newton's laws of motion and of

universal gravitation, there wouldn't be any modern science. So

in that sense, modern science owes its life to Newton's laws.

You could paraphrase Newton's own words and come up with a very

appropriate answer to this question: Modern science sees as far as

it does only because it stands on the shoulders of the giant Newton.
