Photosynthesis is a metabolic process (endergonic/anabolic) that plants undergo that takes CO2 and water and converts it into oxygen, and sugar.

The formula looks like this: 6CO2 + 6H2OC6H12O6 + 6O2

It's important because a lot of organisms are aerobic and they need to oxygen to live.

The process of photosynthesis provides plants with the food and energy they need to grow. The animals subsequently eat them at various stages of their growth. Photosynthesis is the driving force of primary producers

One of the byproducts of photosynthesis is oxygen (both terrestrial and marine plants), which we breath. Without photosynthesis the oxygen levels in the atmosphere would not be replenished.

photosynthesis is so important to us because without plants like grass, tomatos, peas etc cows and other sorts of animals would dye because there is no fruits and veggies so they would dye of starvation and then in the end we would all end up lying on the ground.

Photosynthesis is so important because, it keeps the plant alive by helping it make its own food in order to survive. Plants make the food which is called glucose (sugar) and release oxygen in the process. This helps animals (and people) live because we need oxygen in order to live.

photosynthesis is important to all plants and animals because it starts off their feeding process. plants use energy from the sun to create food. this is known as photosynthesis. when the animals eat the plants then the nutrients enter the animal.

As the previous answer stated, photosynthesis is important because it is the process through which plants and (some other organisms) produce food for themselves and other organisms.

In addition to the aforementioned, the simple sugars produced by photosynthesis are bonded to form complex carbohydrates such as starches (which store sugars until they are needed for energy) and cellulose (building block of plant cell walls), so photosynthesis provides materials needed for plant growth and development.

Also, photosynthesis produces oxygen thatbis necessary for the arebic processes of cellular respiration which makes most of the ATP used by eukaryotic cells.

You asked why photosynthesis is important to plants and animals but I will briefly add to that its importance to Earth's environment because it is relevant. The carbon atoms used to make the sugars in photosynthesis are from carbon dioxide gas in that air, so photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from Earth's atmosphere, regulating Earth's environment (photosynthesis is an important part of the carbon cycle)

It is how the plants get their food. They basically turn that light into food.

Why is the sun important to planet earth?

sun is the energy source . We know that the primary produsers are plants, the source of photosynthesis is sun . Photosynthesis is giving food and energy to do all activities. Because sun is very very important to our planet earth.

Oxygen & Glucose

Why is it important for the planet that the process of respiration and photosynthesis stay in balance?

During respiration Oxygen is used & CO2 is released.& during photosynthesis CO2 is used & oxygen is released. Therefore when these 2 processes are balanced the O2 & CO2 concentration of the planet will be balanced too.
