Parthenon was important because it was the first democratic building (importance in the modern day.) It was made of Ionic and Doric order architecture with the statue of Goddess Athena made of Gold & Ivory.

To the Greeks it was important because- its so fun

It was a temple for them, to get them closer to the Gods,

& Dedicated to the defeat of Persians
