a physical property is something that keeps the nature of the substance the same - for example if you boil a metal you can always re solidify it, it will be the same. but if you use acid on something or burn it, it is gone forever. you can't undo that and it is a property that changes the matter of the substance

Well first off things on fire tend to EXPLODE so do not worry about it if it's a chemical or physical property,... but anyway of course it is chemical property due to the change of state, being anything flammable.

The reason is because it adds to the particles fusing with what ever molecule the object is made up of.

When you set paper on fire its a chemical reaction. If you took the paper and crumbled it into a ball its a physical reaction.

Because it will change volume mass and density

The ability to burn is a chemical change and not a physical change because it turns into a new substance when is burns.

Why is the evaporation of water a physical property rather than a chemical property?

During evaporation the structure of water remain unchanged.

Why is corrosion a chemical property?

Corrosion is not so much a chemical property as it is a chemical process. Since it involves chemical reactions by which chemical compounds become different chemical compounds, that makes it a chemical rather than purely physical process.

Which is an example of physical rather then chemical change?

Vaporization is a physical change, not chemical.

What is example of a physical rather then a chemical change?

Boiling is a physical change, not chemical.

Why is an element's miscibility a physical property?

Because no chemical reaction occurs. The two (or more) miscible chemical species retain their chemical identity, rather than forming a new compound via a chemical reaction.

Why is being flammable a chemical property rather than a physical property?

Physical properties of an element are those in which there is no change in its state. For example, the color and density of an element are physical properties. If an element is flammable, it goes through a reaction and burns, and there is a change in state. When there is a reaction that results in a change of state, Flammability is a chemical property.

What is the ability to burn?

umm im not too sure but i think you may be looking for combustable material??

Is decompositon a chemical property?

A physical property is part of the make up of something that has a physical mass. No decomposing is not a physical property but rather both a physical change and a chemical change hence changing the chemical properties . The physical change is when the mass changes due to the brake down of the chemical and physical properties.

Why is density considered physical property rather than a chemical property of matter?

The density doesn't involve chemical reactions, chemical changes. The density is a measurable property.

Why is the evaporation of water a physical property rather than a chemical property?

During evaporation the structure of water remain unchanged.

Is boiling point an intensive property?

It is a physical property. boiling is just evaporation and all it is is a change in matter from a solid to a gas, therefore being considered a physical change rather than chemical.
