Check the brake light switch. It should be mounted on the upper part of the brake pedal or the brake pedal frame. If the brake lights go off when you unplug it you have a stuck or shorted switch.
If you mean loose as in the brake pedal is low, front of car nosediving when you apply brakes, your rear brake shoes are 1-out of adjustment,2 wore out and need replacing. You can diagnose this by raising parking brake lever, and hitting the brake pedal. If pedal is higher then the diagnosis is proven,if not,you have hydraulic problem-ie.fluid leak, front caliper guide pins stuck, master cylinder bypassing, needing replaced.
Not usually. It is possible for the mater cylinder get suck in the apply position, but the brake pedal would not return to the up position after stopping. the brake switch at the pedal is stuck or out of adjustment.
1: check the switch that the brake pedal opens and closes when you (respectively) release and apply the brake. using a voltmeter, verify that no voltage passes when the switch is open (brakes unapplied) - if there is continuity when there should not be, then the switch is the problem. you will have to be more specific beyond "stuck" if this does not help you.
