It is only a problem when the changes become unpleasant for us.

As the weather changes, new plant and animal species will move into and out of ecosystems, water levels will rise, rainfall patterns will change, and other changes will become evident.

These changes could cause large migrations of people, loss of seaside cities, and farmers going out of business, not to mention droughts, floods, and new areas affected by diseases.

Some of these problems are evident now and have been evident for at least 20 years

Throughout human existence atmospheric CO2 levels have never changed as fast as they are changing now. In the very brief span of time from 1700 to 1900 CO2 climbed by 10 parts per million (ppm). This rate of change could be disastrous for species which cannot migrate or adapt. In addition, over the next few centuries the result is likely to be more violent storms and flooding due to rising sea levels. Droughts and fires will be more common in some areas of the world, which will likely undergo desertification. The economic consequences of ignoring this issue are expected to be enormous.

Does paraffin contribute to the greenhouse effect?

Yes, paraffin is produced from petroleum, a fossil fuel. It contains carbon dioxide from millions of years ago, so when it is burnt it adds to the normal greenhouse effect which has become overwhelmed by all the extra carbon dioxide. The normal greenhouse effect is now warming into the accelerated greenhouse effect.

What will be the effect on world temperature if the greenhouse problem is ignored?

World temperature will continue to increase.

What is a sentence with greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

The trapping of heat by a planet's atmosphere is called what?

it allows solar radiation to penetrate to the surface!

What is another name for enhanced greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which greenhouse gases keep the earth's temperature at a comfortable level suitable for human existence. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the increase in greenhouse gases that is leading to global warming. The term "enhanced greenhouse effect" is also referred to as the "anthropogenic greenhouse effect" and is the idea that humans may have an effect on global climate. It is also referred to as the "runaway greenhouse effect".
