I have a 2000 Kia Sportage and when the hold button is flashing, the transmission is locked in low, by the gear shift is a button that says, hold, some how it got pushed, you might have a button on the dash that says, power and economy, I read in the manuel that it should be in economy for every day driving, if you are towing something, you can use power, and the hold, it lets the transmission, pull harder, and doesn't shift as fast.

If the hold light keeps flashing on a Kia Sportage a sensor may be malfunctioning in the light. The flashing light could also indicate that a speed sensor is going bad.
you have the transmission locked in the " hold " for that gear. To get rid of it push the button on the automatic shift lever below the one you push to put in gear from park.
holds it in that perticular gear.
on the shifter push the button on the left side. If that does not work disconnect battery for a few minutes. On my kia when the hold button kept flashing and stayed on I discovered that my transmission fluid was low. Once i put the transmission fluid in the light went off.
Well the HOLD button is for keeping the car in 2nd and 3rd gear
Open the fuse panel which is located between the dash and the front door. there you will find a red reset button. Turn the car to on and press the button and let off. On the dash you will notice an icon flashing. If the oil icon is not flashing Push the red button again until the oil icon flashes. Then push the reset button and hold. The light will go off.
Push the Reset button located under the dash and hold it until it flashes and stops. Release button when the flashing stops and then press again until it flashes. When it stops flashing, release button.
If you have an automatic with a push button 4WD shifter, you must be completely stopped to shift in or out of 4LO. Hold your foot on the brake, put the transmission in neutral, and push the 4LO button. When the light stops flashing, you will be out of 4LO.
You can 1st try to disconnect the batteries overnight then try pressing the "hold"button just under the shifter gear button . The one reason also is because you have a transmission problem which can really cost you. Engine check light on bcoz of a managerie of probs. with regards to the engine. Have OBD codes read to be sure.
hold the play and pause button until the light stops flashing
Check that the overdrive button on the gear shifter is not disengaged that will cause it to come on.
You hold the power button down until the green light next to it stops flashing.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=416844 I have a 1999 Kia Sportage and there is a HOLD button on the automatic shifter and it controls the transmission shifting for slippery or wet conditions. The manual says the HOLD will shift more smoothly for slippery conditions so that you don't loose traction. For practical purposes though, if you press the HOLD button while driving down the road the transmission will shift into the "Passing" gear and remain there until you slow down or release the HOLD button. I use the HOLD button when I want to control the shifting on corners and maintain higher RPM's on the engine. At speed on the expressway the HOLD button will shift down into the passing gear and this is nice on hills. Then when you want to unshift, release the HOLD button.
Push and hold the time button until the hour starts flashing. Let go of the time button and turn the tune/audio button to adjust the hour. Then push the tune/audio button, the minute will start flashing. Adjust it the same way as the hour then push tune/audio button to save settings.
how much oil does a kia sportage hold 2001 when you change the oil
push the little button beside it. Push and HOLD button
Hold down the plus and minus buttons until the dot in the middle is flashing. Whilst this is flashing can use plus or minus button to set the time.
well I had a 1991 Mazda protege and when the hold light started flashing my transmission was going out. don't know if this will be of any help to you but i jut thought i would share that info. I have a 97 kia. try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Might work after that. I have a 2000 Kia. On my gearshift (which is between the 2 front seats) there is ANOTHER button just under the gearshift button. When I press this button, my Kia is now in gear HOLD. This means that no matter how fast or slow my Kia may be going, it WILL NOT change gears. It will hold the last gear speed that the Kia was in when the HOLD button was pressed. Also, when in HOLD, I have a HOLD light that lights up in the gage cluster. Using this option is not recommended unless you REALLY know what you're doing as it is HAZERDOUS to your TRANSMISSION. I don' use mine much. Ussually on steep inclines. Peace...........
You might have to sync it to the console pretty easy there should be a small button on top of the controller simply press and hold that button and there will be a flashing light. Then go to your xbox and there should be a button there aswell hold that and done.
