In The Hunger Games, the better interview means the more sponsors you will have. Your sponsors send you food, water, medicine, etc. while you're in the arena, and sometimes those things can save your life.

it may be a matter of life or death in the games. if you bomb the interveiws you wont get sponsers if you dont get sponsers you dont get gifts if you dont get gifts you will most likely die.

In the interview, Katniss shows off her dazzling dress made by Cinna, and Peeta confesses that he loves Katniss...and Katniss blushes! This later leads to Katniss pretending to be in love with Peeta to keep them alive when one of the Gamemakers says that if there are two tributes from one district that are both alive they may both win, so Peeta and Katniss become allies, but then the Gamemakers all of a sudden say that there can only be one winner when it's down to just the two of them, and Katniss pulls out some poisonous berries that killed "Foxface," (Katniss' nickname for the sly girl who looks like a fox) and right after they pop them in their mouths, Cesar (Head Gamemaker) says that they are both winners...but then there is an uprising in the next book. Keep reading the series! The second, in my opinion, is not as good as the first, but I am yet to read the last.
