Abraham and his eldest son, Ishmael, were commanded by God to build a place of worship, the Ka'bah, in what is today the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia The Ka'bah is the central place of worship toward which all Muslims face in prayer to God, Almighty .The Qur'an states that God commanded Abraham to summon all humankind to visit this placeand when pilgrims go there today they say "At your service, O Lord," in response to Abraham's call This proves that only Muslims have the true religion of Abraham-the great messenger the the Jews and christians believe in him.

The Kabah was always a site of worship - but it was for pagan worship of hundreds of Gods, one of them Allah! When the Jews rejected mohammeds message, mohammed turned from directing worship to the eternal holy city of Jerusalem - back to Mecca, the ancient site of Arabic worship.

Abu Jaffar Al Baqer, narrates from Mohammad bin Ali bin Hussain r.a. that before descendant of Hazrat Adam a.s. on the earth, Almighty Allah, build a house called 'Bait-ul-Ma'amoor' which was right under His thrown and the angels do circumambulate (tawaf) around it. Than Almighty Allah SWT ordered the angels to go down on the earth and build the house there. When generation of Adam a.s. increased, they were ordered to do circumambulate (tawaf) around that house.

Hazrat Abbas r.a. narrates when Almighty Allah descendant Hazrat Adam r.a. on the earth, he was ordered to build kaaba (which mentioned as The First House of God) at the place called 'Bait-Ullah'. This house was created with the stones of five mountains, Jabal Al-banan, Tor-e-Saina, Tor-e-Zaita (near Bait-ul-Muqadas), Jowdi (Mousil) and Hira.

After the storm of Hazrat Noah a.s., this house was expunged only the signs remained there. Later on Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail a.s. re-build (reconstructed) it. Renovations works were carried out by tribes of Amaliqa, Jarham, Qasa and Quraish.

Many Muhadaseen said the Kabba was re-build/re-constructed 10 times:

1- By angels

2- By Hazrat Adam a.s.

3- Than by sons of Hazrat Adam a.s.

4- Hazrat Ibrahim a.s. & Hazrat Ismail a.s.

5- Tribe of Amaliqa

6- Tribe of Jarham

7- Tribe of Qasa bin Kalaab

8- Hazrat Muhammad

9- Hazrat Abdulah bin Zubair r.a. (with permission of Prophet Muhammad he merged the land of Hateem with Kaaba. It was build/reconstructed/renovated after 82 years from tribe Quraish.

10- Lastly by Hajaj bin Yousif Saqafi, the Governor of Abdul Malik bin Mardan Amuwai.
