Psychological studies have shown that the number 7 is chosen as a â??favorite numberâ?? more often than any other number. Associated with the â??seven deadly sinsâ?? and â??seventh heavenâ??, 7 is considered a mystical number. Its positive view may be due to how frequently it occurs in the world. There are 7 continents, 7 colors of the rainbow, 7 seas and 7 days of the week.

The number seven is almost universally thought to be important, usually lucky. It stands for the victory of spirit over matter. Among the Hebrews, seven was the perfect number and denoted completeness. Derived from this, the whole Christian church is symbolized in the Book of Revelation by seven candlesticks, and the perfect power of the Lamb is denoted by seven horns. The use of the number was also frequent among the Greeks. The seventh son of a seventh son was in Britain believed to have psychic or magical powers. The number seven is the Number that God chose to represent completeness.

Seven means that something is whole, full complete or perfect in some cases.

Biblical text says it took God seven days to create the earth.

It takes seven days to complete a week.

Your head has seven openings (2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, & 1 mouth).

There are exactly seven moving heavenly bodies that can be seen in the sky (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn).

Seven is a complete, or perfectness.
