It depends on how much and what color. Dark blood (black or brown) means it is coming from the pups stomach or high up in the digestive system and requires Vet. care.
Bright red blood and just a small amount could mean hard stools (poop) and has broken a blood vessel in the rectal area, this means you need to change the puppies diet to softer more easily digested foods. Lots of bright red blood and every time it defecates is serious and should be seen to by a vet. ASAP.
There can be a number of reasons. Please take the pup to a vet and have him/her checked out.

∙ 14y agoThere could be a number of reasons. Blood in a dog's stool is never normal and the animal should be seen by a vet asap. In a puppy's stool there is always the possibility that it has swallowed something that is causing internal damage.

∙ 12y agoTake him to the vet immediately. This is a sign (just a sign, it doesnt mean she/he has it) of Parvo or Girrardia. You need to get them checked. If it isn't one of those, it could just be a major stress. If its a girl, It could have a baby or problem
