Check the connections back to the battery. You also might have a fusable link that has gone. Sometimes they can blow without anything else going wrong. If it's the fusable link, don't replace it with a wire; that would be a serious fire hazard and can be dangerous to the driver and anyone riding along.

Most major parts houses would have the ignition switch. Any year between 1991 and 1996 will fit it.
Please provide more info on what you mean by 'ignition'. Reason is that there are more specific items such as ignition coil (pack), ignition switch, etc...

The ignition switch, or "killswitch," for a 1996 Chevy Cavalier is located inside the steering column. Replacing or repairing it requires disassembly of the steering column.
