yes
I would suspect the ECU... engine computer!
yes and turbo.
I looked into this about 5 years ago. idle is not user adjustable and the 92 is factory set to idle very slow about 800 to 900 rpm. I think it is computer controlled. Incorrect sir. There is a bolt under where the accelator cable is connected that you can adjust and it WILL affect your idle, you can do this with a simple screw driver if you really feel that you need to.
There is no adjustment screw, idle is automatically controlled by the pcm.
exhaust leak. gaskets around the manifold. probly has a misfire at idle to i bet?
The computer in your vehicle controls idle (base and curb). When the battery was disconnected the computer lost memory of the set idle. The car needs to re-learn the idle specs, sometimes can be done by driving for around 15-20 minutes. If not you will need to see a mitsu dealer and have a multi scanner hooked up to reset the idle.
You can put a Turbo on your 1992 engine. You will need to purchase a air intake Turbo modification kit.
Im not sure about a 92, but when it happened to my 98, i had to replace the Idle control valve. its generally about 50 bucks and is very easily done.
put the 92 octane for keep your engine clean and for the turbo engine 1.4 not 1.8 the 92 is the best performance at 4000 rpm high
If you extend the hood, and do some cutting on the fire wall.
