I have the same question. I have a 6 month old Cockapoo who just started squatting but it not peeing. I have taken her to the vet but they don't know what is going on. If anyone has an idea, please let us know.
There are several things that could be causing this, a couple of which are: Your puppy may have a bladder infection, or possibly bladder stones. You need to take it to the vet immediately because this could lead to life threatening complications. If your vet's office is closed for the evening, maybe there is an emergency after hours animal clinic you could call and ask for advice. They will ask for all of the puppy's symptoms, and advise you whether or not you need to bring the puppy in now. If it is after hours, and if there is no vet available right now, then take the puppy in to the vet the first thing in the morning. Do not let this go untreated.
Your dog most likelyhas an urinary infection. This can be very painful & toxicfor her. She feels like she has to urinate and cannot. Take her to a Veterinarian immediately for a check up.
You can get the male dog neutered, this should stop him from urinating in the house as much as he did.
If your dog is still peeing on the couch, then you have not trained him/her well enough yet.
A dog can stay without peeing for max of 4 and a half hours

get him used to peeing with the leash on, so he'll get used to it.
The dog is marking it's territory. It's normal for a dog to do that.
