My Guinea pig is also losing fur but they shed their fur so they can grow their winter coat. they start sheeding during the summer season (at the end of summer begining of fall). They will keep shedding though, so you do not have to worry about anything its all natural.

∙ 16y agoYour guinea pig could be shedding because its really hot and sweaty, so you should place your guinea pig in a cool, shady spot. Or if you start seeing bald spots and lots of hair is shedding, it means your guinea pig has mites, which should be treated immediately, with a product you could but from yopur local pet store or vet. By the way, guinea pigs naturally shed hair! Don't be alarmed!

it can be losing fur due to stress or lack of vitamin C. I have a guinea pig that was given to me that hair loss and i read about it so i got some vitamin C stuff for her. If your guinea pig is still losing its fur after that then i would call a vet.
