Why is your hot water in the bath tub not as hot as the rest of the faucets in the house?

it runs out of hot water
My water is not hot enough for a decent bath I tried to clean out the pipes, correcting the pressure and none of this worked.
If there is too much water flow for some reason the water will only go warm.
What I done was I turned my hot tap on half way and now my water becomes really hot. As soon as I turn my hot tap all the way it becomes warm again.
So I do not turn my hot tap all the way, it may take a little longer to fill my bath but I can now enjoy it really hot once again.
If this does not work I am afraid the plumber is needed.

∙ 14y agoThis could be a number of things. You should take out the valve cartridge in the tub filler handle. Its very possible that the rubber O-rings are worn out and blocking the amount of hot water exiting the valve. If anything you should check this to make sure mineral deposits haven't gotten clogged in the valve. The other issue could be an on/off valve somewhere down the line that is slowing down hot water flow to the tub. If the same valve is supplying hot water to the rest of the bathroom then the valve cartridge at the tub filler is the problem.

The aerator at the end of the spout is clogged. Unscrew the aerator and blow out the screen. Replace aerator and Voila!
