goldfish are not always one color because they have different species. Also, goldfish can change colors over time. They won't always be gold or maybe they won't always be white or whatever color your goldfish is.

I suspect the one goldfish died from overeating but I can't rule out parasites, bacteria or other problems from the tadpoles although I would have expected the other to get ill as well. I guess the one certain thing is that if you like the tadpoles, don't add goldfish. S.
