I have a german shepherd cross puppy. she is 4 months old. when she plays with my kids, she "bites" my daughter. you must remember that this is how puppies play with their siblings. dogs do not have hands, so this is the way they play.
we are trying to stop the biting by saying"ouch" in a loud pitched voice, to get her attention and then say no biting. she is just a puppy and you will have to do this many, many, many times. our dog is still not cured of this habit. i find it interesting that she bites more my daughter, who is the smallest member of our family, as opposed to my husband who is the tallest.
be firm and consistent, the puppy needs to know this is not a game.
