I may know the answer if it is a full size Blazer. There is a ground wire for the socket that may be connected to an area that has rusted and no longer is grounded. Reconnect to a solid piece of metal for the light to work.
The hazard switch and the turn signal and brake lights are all incorparated, chances are the 3-1 switch is broke internally check all fuses
either your fuse is blown or the wiring is bad
check the multi function switch. I hava a 96 Chevy Monte Carlo and I had the same problem . I changed the multi function switch and the brakes lights now work. the rear brake lights run thru the switch on the turn signal circuit. try it and see.
Check the brake light switch.
Check the fuse, check the bulbs and check the brake light switch, it should be one of those.
turn signal switch needs replaced!
The 2001 Chevy Blazer brake lights may not work and the third bake stays on because the current light needs to be replaced. A replacement brake light can be purchased at an Auto Parts store like Pep Boys.
either dimmer switch or blown fuse If you are saying that the tail brake lights are working but the third brake light is not....It may be a defective turn signal switch in the steering column.
AnswerMost likely a faulty turn signal switch, or possibly the wiring to it.replace switch assembly.
Yes they indeed have brake lights...
The center high mount led brake light unit has been known to go bad.
Just a suggestion, check your trailer lights harness for corrosion. They were taking the dash lights down in my chevy.
I can't turn the yellow brake or parking lights on my 1998 Chevy blazer off and it's draining my battery.Could you please tell me which fuse or switch I'd use to disable the front yellow lights? This is happening even with the car off.
It depends on the exact problem. If it's that both brake lights in the back do not work and the middle one works, it could be your turn signal switch.
No brake lights but turn signals work? Turn signal switch brakes route through it.
Check fuse, check bulbs, check brake light switch, check wiring and then check signal switch, in that order.
Headlights? Brake lights? Tail lights? Signal lights? Courtesy lights? Dash lights? Check engine lights? Need more info please.
On a 1998 Chevy Blazer, the parking brake switch is located on the top of the parking brake assembly. There are 3 bolts that hold the switch to the parking brake assembly.
Brake Lights Stay on Unless the Brake Pedal is RaisedThis is usually caused by the brake light switch being out of adjustment in its physical distance to the contact point on the brake pedal arm.
No it is not illegal, as long as you have operational tail lights, brake lights, signal lights and a plate light.
Need to clarify what you mean here. If you're referring to the lights themselves, both of the two bulbs in the top of the tail lamp housing are dual filament bulbs, which serve as parking lights, turn signal lamps, and brake lamps.
the turn signal switch is probably bad
Directly above the brake pedal.
Check the bulbs they are double filamented -smaller for brake lights larger for tailights Check the fuse Check the stop light switch usually located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
Ensure relays and parking brake switch are properly functioning.
