What are the pros and cons of wearing hats in school?

I believe hats are a way of expressing a students individuality and by not allowing them to wear them the students are lacking in self growth

And I think hats are harmless and WHY THE HECK do they have hat day if they have been made out to be A DISTRACTION I mean stupid teachers. Hats are just a article of clothing. gosh! They just want to take power over us!

Well, there are many cons for that matter.

Pros:

• Protection from skin disease caused by the sun such as melanoma,etc
• Children can express their inner personalities
• Keeps the sun out of your eyes during play, better focus

Cons:

• Gang Affliations
• Messing around by stealing hats, keep away, etc
• Can hide weapons/cheating ways
• Increase of lice transmission

Pros- uniforms are so nice and they look formal! They make everyone look equal and no students feels 'less' than one another. As silly as it sounds, having everyone look the same, people look at you for who you really are and for not how rich you are.

Cons- students find it hard to express themselves when everyone looks the same. Espcially High School, kids are trying to find who they are. Having uniforms stop them from doing that. Having no uniforms shows what kind of personality someone has.
