Only if their parents want to pay them. Your reward for good grades is knowing you're doing a good job and passing the class and eventually getting a better job than if you flunked out. However, many parents do reward their children for good grades. You must talk to your parents and see if they would agree to give you some sort of reward.

There are several different methods of motivating students. Financial rewards are certainly one possible approach. However, students should realize that they are not studying for someone else's benefit, but for their own. It is not entirely logical that you have to be paid to do something that is for your own benefit. If you understand the value of education you will want to become educated. No one will have to bribe you to learn.

Should kids be paid for getting good grades?

Opinion: No, I believe children should not be paid for getting good grades. Money does, in fact, influence much in the human world, but for it to influence someones passion in getting a good education can be seen as beyond ridiculous. If one will only make an effort to get high grades and marks in school, to actually hold on to all they are being taught for money then they may need to be taught something else, in my opinion. That lesson would be in actually caring enough for oneself to not have to be paid to retain knowledge that will only do good for them in this world.Yes because people will be smarter.

Why kids cant get paid for good grades?

Who said they can't? In the UK, students are paid to attend education, usually £30 for one week of full attendance. It helps encourage them to learn and keeps trouble off the streets.

Why should college students get paid for good grades?

I was Paid for Good GradesThat got me thinking back to when I was a kid. In retrospect, I was paid for getting good grades. It wasn't a formal arrangement, and I never knew what was coming, but I do recall several semesters both in high school and in college where my parents would reward me for a job well done. It might have been 50 bucks in high school or for college, a few extra bucks in the monthly budget for room and board, etc. I don't recall specifics, but I recall being thankful for the recognition of my achievements and on the rare occasion where I didn't have a good semester, there was no reward. There wasn't a conversation per se, like "no money this time since you didn't fulfill your potential", there was only positive reinforcement when I did something right. There's much research that shows that negative reinforcement doesn't have any discernible benefit in influencing outcomes (it actually backfires often times) and positive reinforcement tends to be a very strong incentive. However, I recall both. I recall making my parents proud and the occasional pat on the back, but I also remember the financial reward. That's just me and every kid's different, but if it works…Surely many parents will be thinking, "I got good grades and I wasn't bribed…my kids get good grades because I'm a great parent, not because I pay them", etc. However, what matters to me is results and the reasonable means by which we pursue them. What to do with Our KidsCollege students should be paid for good grades because all of their hard work went towards their education. Everyone tells children to go to college but they never tell them the truth about the finacial aspect of it.

Should you reward your kids for getting good grades?

Opinions by WikiAnswers contributors:I believe that students should get paid for doing well in school. We work hard to get good grades and accomplish goals for our districts. New York City even started a Pilot Program, where students in poorer communities get paid for doing well in school.Rewards are a great motivation, so in my opinion yes. Money might not be the best choice however. Reward your kids by telling them how proud you are and how good they did. And maybe add a little treat.
