When LDR is exposed to light energy . Due to light energy incident on LDR surface, free electron movement of an atom is increased in LDR. This causes high conduction of curent flowing through LDR. beause of free electron movement in LDR, resitance get decreased.

As light intensity increases, resistance decreases, hence it will maximise current flow through the LDR. A LDR is a semiconductor, hence it does not give an Ohmic graph ( graph of V against I giving a constant gradient which represents a constant resistance) even if physical conditions such as light is kept constant. LDR's graph is non ohmic, ie it will give a decreasing gradient hence decreasing resistance when light increases.

The resistence is lowered allowing the current to flow through the LDR.

What black form of this nonmetal conducts electricity better when light is shined upon it so it was used in xerography?

Selenium is a semiconductor with a black form that was used in xerography because it conducts electricity better when light is shined on it. However, use of this material is being phased out.

2 What happens to light when it falls upon a material that has a natural frequency equal to the frequency of the light?

The energy in the light is absorbed by the material.

The black form of this nonmetal conducts electricity better when light is shined upon it and it is used in Xerox toner?

Selenium is the nonmetal that conducts electricity in its black form when light shines on it. But selenium is not a component of Xerox toner. Selenium is used in the older photoreceptor drums and belts that serve as the equivalent of film in a camera.

If a light was shined at a mirror 5 light-years away in space how many Earth-years would it take for the light to go out and be reflected back to earth?

ANSWER:The light year is based upon Earth years. It would be 10 years. It would take the light 5 years to get to the mirror, and 5 years to travel back. ---So if we doing it today, we will see trough that mirror over 10 years the planet as today.

When light meets any of the object it interacts with it...the interaction can be reflection, refraction, absorption, polarisation, diffraction or interference depending upon the nature of the body with which it interacts.

Does human blood turn black upon death?

Yes. Blood becomes bright red when oxygenated in the lungs. Upon death, this bright red fades to red, then purple and then black in time.
