one single powerful processor consumes more energy generates more heat then multi-core processors ,A multi core processor will also be faster since there are multiple processors to handle the data manipulation instead of having to use time sharing.

A single core processor is ideal for your average computer user. It's great for web Surfing, checking e-mail, word processing, etc. It's usually not suitable for frequent multitasking or for games

Don't let their speed in Ghz fool you: each core in a multi-core processor is more powerful than a processor of the previous generation. The motivation for using processors at a lower clock rate and use them in parallel is to 1.) reduce heat and electrical requirements, and 2.) to facilitate better performance for apllications by creating more hardware thread

For many applications, multiple processors working in parallel is much more efficient than a single processor going through everything. One of the areas where this is most notable is graphics processing; my graphics card has 112 cores all working together.

Numerous cores is mainly good because it enables multiple things to be done simultaneously, rather than each having to wait for the other to finish and fighting over CPU time.

As opposed to what? To multiple processors in a computer? - The problem is, designers have reached a limit to how fast such a single processor can be; so currently, the only option to make computers even faster is to use multiple processors in parallel.

Why you use a lot of small processor in super computer instead of a powerful processor?

Smaller processors are almost always cheaper, and use less electricity. Using a large number of processors in parallel also gives some redundancy, since a single processor node failing will not stop work from being performed.

What is the advantage of the parallel computer over a serial computer?

Parallel computing is when you do a lot of different things at once, a graphics card is a parallel processor. The main CPU is a serial processor, it does one thing, but does it really fast, then switches to another. Video editing works better on a parallel processor, for you can encode different frames all at the same time, instead of working on one, then moving on to the next.

What is a Hand soldering workstation?

A hand soldering Workstation is a station where you can solder metals together by yourself instead of using a machine

Why use many not-so-powerful processors in parallel?

Can parallel circuits be used instead of fuses?

No. Parallel circuits are not fuses. Fuses can be used to protect parallel circuits.

What is the difference between a P and T Intel processor?

The new "P" prefix indicates a lower power processor, with a 25 instead of 35W TDP.

Powerful Adjectives are better words for adjectives e.g. 'Handsome' instead of 'nice'

What sockets uses flat pads instead of pins for connectors?

LGA uses flat pads for the processor sockets instead of pins.

What is the advantage of SAS over parallel SCSI?

SAS is SCSI, it connects via a serial cable/connector instead of parallel (long and skinny) connector.

What is an I-64 processor architecture and what are it's advantages over Pentium processor?

It is a processor that works with 64 bit values instead of 32 bit values. The advantages are that it is much faster for operations on large 64 bit values for which a 32 bit processor would need multiple operations. This means that a 64 bit processor with the same clock speed can do more work in the same time.
