Hello there!
Viruses are pretty much my kind of thing, so thanks for the question 👍
Now for the answer: Viruses are quite unusual, they only have an outer layer which is either a lipid bilayer or just a protein capsid. Both of them have receptors and maybe ligands to gain entry into the cell. Secondly, their outer layer protects just the genome of the virus. That's it, there is nothing but a genome and maybe some accessory proteins of the virus and no organelles like most living organisms have to live an independent life.
That's what makes viruses intracellular parasites, i.e., they need to invade cell to use the genome and protein expression facilities which other larger complex organisms have and they don't.
Hence, viruses are inanimate while outside the host and only become active once they hijack their choice of host.
Hope this answer helped you 😄
Viruses are microorganisms that need a host cell's meatabolic processes to reproduce.
because
virus dont have its own body machinery, it always need a host to reproduce as it uses it machinery to reproduce
coz i like chicken nuggets
a. your an idiot
b.infect bacteria
virus acts on host dna and it is present inside the cell
becasue
virus dont have its own body machinery, it always need a host to reproduce as it uses it machinery to reproduce
viruses are dormant when they are not inside a living cell. that means they don't have living characteristics when outside a living cell. they only reproduce when they are inside a living cell.
The two things are: 1. Viruses behave as living beings only inside another living cell and act as a non living thing when isolated or outside the living cell. 2. The genetic material of a virus is RNA not DNA which is gives complexity in its study.
Viruses are not an organism at all. They are not alive. They are like cockle burrs that "grab" hold of your clothing or a dog's coat. They are hijackers. Once they get attached to the cell of a living cell, they can take it over and "make" the living cell produce virus particles instead of cell parts. These particles can assemble into more viruses and then they break out of the cell (killing it) and begin the process again. They cannot make more viruses on their own.
Viruses need a host cell to be able to multiply. Once they get attached to the cell membrane or cell wall of a living cell, they can take it over and "make" the living cell produce virus particles instead of cell parts. These particles can assemble into more viruses and then they break out of the cell (killing it) and begin the process again. They cannot make more viruses on their own.
A Virus must invade a host cell in order to reproduce. What people commonly mix up with them is bacteria which has no need to

Viruses lack the supply of chemical constituents needed to assemble more viruses; these chemicals can be found inside cells (which use them for their own cellular reproduction when they have not been hijacked by an invading virus).
viruses are not alive. APEX

Viruses are not alive. They are infectious particles. They hijack a living cell's DNA and force it to make viruses parts instead of living cell parts. The cell is made to assemble to parts and the new viruses bust out of the cell, killing it, and infect more cells.
outside a living host cell , a virus is found to be inactive , devoid of its metabolic activities . but inside a living cell it actively carries out all its metabolism . so sometimes it is living and some other times non living
A virus.
When it is inside a living cell.
No, they are not alive at all.

A virus
Viruses - they are unable to replicate outside of a host cell.
