Yes and no. Himmler was a "teetotaler" - he didn't smoke, drink alcohol (except wine), no caffeine, etc. Hitler was a yes/no vegetarian, too. What I mean by this is that these men weren't vegetarians in the way many vegetarians consider what it means to be one these days (myself included). It had nothing to do with empathy and caring for other living creatures (obviously). It had more to do with their mid-20th century theories on homeopathy & what made a man healthy and heading towards the ideal human being.
