Most definatly, Hitler was a major cause of WWII.

He pronounced himself Dictator of Germany when the President of Germany died and shortly after declared war on Poland. When other nations saw this they came to the aid of Poland, thus beginning WWII.

He was an idiot, and should have never have been able to gain that much power. He was angry because Germany was in 'debt' to other nations to to the damages of WWI and the fact that Germany lost. Had someone stood up and put and end to his little power crazy, actually, in was in no form or fashion little, but if any other nation, or maybe all of them would have stood up to Germany as soon as they saw what he was doing it would have never have gotten so out of hand. But rather than that, they world went into desperation along with America when America had the Great Depression. So many other nations were dependant on loans from America, and America was loaning out money that they didn't have, which was idiotic,a nd it eventually bit them in the butt, so to speak.

So with so many other nations having desperate needs, Germany had the perfect oppertunity to take advantage of them.

technically, Hitler wasnt an idiot if he started WWII, and he didnt start it because he was power hungry, he was just plain insane. he lived in a bad invornment that involved Jews and he took it out on them, because they all seemed to be okay when everybody else wasnt. so he got Germany on his side, and this led to his crazy idea where he was going to create "the perfect world" where everybody was the same. and people tried to stop him, that's how it became a war, because we tried to protect our nation from becoming this huge blonde haired blue eyed frenzy of people. that's why alot of people died fighting Hitler because if anyone tried stopping him on their own, they were killed. he didnt believe in mercy towards others, he threw newborn babies out a window! and so to speak, we helped by giving nonexsistant funds to them..... which was bad because then we payed harshly for the damage of the money.

The extent of Hitler's culpability in World War Two is subject to much debate. For a full analysis of this question, visit the following article:

AnswerAs most people would recognise, this is one of the most controversial and widely discussed arguments in modern world history. Adolf Hitler played an enormous role in the events that led to the Second World War; almost anybody can agree that Hitler, supreme leader of Germany, had strong ambitions and ideologies from day one of his campaigning in the National Socialist Party which soon became the National Socialist German Workers Party (the Nazi Party). However, many historians take this debate to the extent that Hitler was not solely responsible for the outbreak of WWII. If you study closely and analytically the events and historical context between both world wars, one can appreciate that factors such as the League of Nations and preceding 1930s crises which consisted of the invasion of Abyssinia (now Ethiopia) by the Italian leader, Mussolini and the Manchurian crisis between Japan and China added to the likelihood of WWII. There were major flaws within the League of Nations which drastically reduced the prospect of international peace and the avoidance of war; one being the huge self-interest of European nations such as Britain and France who were not prepared to apply strict economic sanctions on the "aggressor" countries with the concern that their own economies would be threatened. Hitler in many respects took advantage of the situation during the 1930s and, to some extent, used luck and careful precision to strike numerous opportunities when they arose. In other words, Hitler was an opportunist who took huge risks and gambles, especially when he succeeded in the remilitarisation of the Rhineland in 1936 which was blatantly forbidden in the Treaty of Versailles. Thus, the "last chance" to stop Hitler's galloping aspirations diminished despite the efforts made by the League of Nations to condemn Hitler who had again violated the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler's gambling on the defensive posture of France paid off. This showed Hitler to judge the feelings of Europe, German public opinion and the attitudes of members of the League well. AnswerSome people may say Adolf Hitler is solely responsible however, the treaty of Versailles, the great depression and the frontsoldaten mentality are some of the causes of WW2. WW1 has also contributed a great deal. AnswerYes and no. Without him it probably wouldn't have got this far. But, a proper breeding ground was needed for his ideology to gain succes.

The breeding ground was provided with the economical inbalance after WWI (which solely a political war). Germany had to pay large amounts as compensation for the damage it did. Combined with the colapse of the regime and the effect a war has on a country (the economy was focused on war, all money was spent on warfare and the industry was converted to war purposes) Germany was left extremely poor and a lot of people were without work.

Because of the fact that it seemed other countries were at the origin of the poorness (afterall they were drawing away Germany's welth) a certain hostilety arrose towards non-Germans.

Jews have always occupied important financial possitions or deal in diamonds and other valuables and thus they were relatively rich in that period. As a result a particular dislikeing was developed towards them.

Hitler just took advantage of the situation to plant his ideology. The situation then provided an exellent environment for these ideas. This was combined with the fact that he was a rather brilliant economic leader. He provided most of the people with work (with large state commanded road works etc) and made Germany fairly wealthy on short notice. People trusted him for it and began to follow his ideas more and more. Being charismatic as he was he was (a great public speaker) he was able to impress his vision on the people.

Its just a question of the right person on the right place at the right time. All three factors are equally important. And for Germans he was just a good man... Most of the Germans didn't really know the horrible details of the attrocities. The wide spread belief was that they were deported to create 'Lebensraum' or 'space' for them to live.
Yes. The war in the east had already started, which had nothing to do with him, but with the invasion of Poland he started the war in the west and the Second World War.
Yes. Germany invaded Poland on September 1st 1939 which started World War II.

Adolph Hitler was the leader of the German nation during WW 2, and ordered the attacks that triggered that war. As the President of a major country he did not fight in the war personally.
