this guy named shaakyamuni buddha told his mons to go out to the world and expand his teachings. he wanted ppl to overcome their unhappiness and suffering they were creating for themselves becauseof ftheir lack of understanding. later generations were inspired by his example and shared his methods which was why it was spread across asia.
