I think that Andrew Jackson was known as a peoples president is because he was elected as president but wasn't very wealthy like all the other presidents had been in the past and he believed that the average person could run for president like him.
Jackson believed that the common people should have more voice in the government and
the election of the president.
He fought the old establishment that had chosen all the presidents before him and campaigned for change.
He implemented a real democracy which gives power to the people. he also had the inaugural ball and normal people came not just the rich people. they ended up needing to take punch in bathtubs and put it outside to get everyone out of the White House.
