He was also famous for his shading, Leonardo really changed the shading most artist's use.

Furthermore, Leonardo was important for being a botanist, anatomist, astronomer, engineer, geologist, mathematician, physicist, artist, painter, writer, musician, and a zoologist.

He contributed design of hydraulics, mechanical engineering, structural engineering as in the construction of canal systems with locks, bridges, fortification, advanced weaponry of the day both offensive and defensive to the renaissance world!
