Why was YouTube made?
Youtube was made to express yourself in a way that everyone can see you.
The people who made YouTube used to work for PayPal before coming together and teaming up to create YouTube. The names of the founders of YouTube are Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim, and Steve Chen. As of now, numerous people (employees of YouTube and others) have contributed to the creation of the YouTube we know today.
YouTube, as far as I know, was made for sharing and posting videos with the world and to make money off of advertisements viewed by users while watching videos on YouTube. YouTube has consistently been making updates related to entertainment (like YouTube Movies), so YouTube can definitely be pictured as an entertainment company, but also as sort of a social media website.
YouTube has made the uploading video process very easy and straight forward. As long as you have a video file that is compatible with the YouTube uploader, then just login to YouTube and on the top of the YouTube home page, you should be able to see an "upload" button next to the YouTube search bar to upload your video.
