Noble gases are furthest right on the Periodic Table of elements so their outer valence electrons fill each level, making it stable

the elements don't want to react because they are stable, and it would take energy to change/move electrons, creating ions, so it is unnecessary and therefore rare for the noble gases to react.

Noble gas are also known as inert gas, b'coz they are less or we may say unreactive. It is b'coz they have fully filled electrons in their valence shell. However, xenon is slightly reactive. It resembles oxygen in some properties. Valence shell is responsible in defining reactivity as it took part at the time of bond formation. Now, let us take electronic configuration of ny1 noble gas say neon(Ne), i.e., 2s^ 2p^6, which reveals that it has filled valence shell. Remembr, the electronic configuration of noble gases r ns^2 np^6. Hope this will help.
