Citizenship is one of the greatest attributes of the people in the state. Is shows that a person is a full member of that nation . Whatever happens to the nation, in war or peace, he has a share and a responsibility. If the nation prospers and becomes great, he has every reason to feel proud and happy. If the nation declines or is defeated in war, he shares in its humiliation and disgrace.

A citizen, unlike an alien or foreigner, truly feels the glories and misfortunes of his country.

To be worthy of citizenship, therefore, an individual must perform the duties attached to it, as well as enjoy the privileges which it brings.
