Yes they were. They were engaged at the time Mary became pregnant. They married right after the angel told Joseph that Mary was pregnant, however they did not consumate the marriage until after Jesus was born.

Athough The Bible does not give any details concerning the wedding of Mary and Joseph, it is assumed that because they were engaged they went forward with the process and eventually married.

However, Jesus was conceived out of wedlock which was something that borthered Joseph greatly until he was reassured by Gabriel to go ahead and take Mary as his wife.

Matthew 1 18-24 states that when they were engaged but before "they came together, she was found with the child of the Holy Ghost." An angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, told him who the father of the baby was, and told Joseph to marry Mary.

The bible doesn't say. But, when Joseph and Mary married, I am sure they followed the Jewish custom and were married in their birthplace, Jueruselam.

Yes. Matthew 1:24 says "When Joseph woke up [from his dream], he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife."
