∙ 11y agoIf you are referring to the disciples of Jesus, first you'll have to prove that Jewish leaders persecuted them. Jewish tradition holds that the main reaction consisted of ignoring them. If persecution took place, it would have been because the fledgling group was viewed as heretical.

∙ 10y agoPeter and John went to the temple to pray and there a lame man was begging for alms. Peter healed him and all the people around them saw it happen. Then the Sadducee's came to them and arrested them and put them in jail ( Acts 3 & 4).
