Romeo is from the Montague family and Juliet is from the Capulet family. These families both hate each other because of this feud (even though no one can remember how/why it started). So basically by Romeo and Juliet getting married it's like the two enemies getting married - it's like two Mafia gangs are having a massive fight and the children of both leaders get married. They were grown up to hate each other and it would almost be 'dishonourable' or against their nature if they got married.
