The Europeans feared the Vikings because of their rage and fury. They were very strong that many people were afraid of the sight of them. They repeatedly attacked them, plundered their villages, and harmed their people. When they were in there churches, they prayed, "From the fury of the Norsemen, Good Lord, deliver us!"
