Answer 2

While the Holocaust preceded the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the concept of human rights existed centuries before the Holocaust and therefore, we can say that human rights were violated at Auschwitz without resorting to anachronisms. Rights violated included:

  1. Right to Dignity
  2. Right to Intellectual and Moral Freedom
  3. Right to Life
  4. Right to Freedom (as opposed to Enslavement)
  5. Right to Human Treatment (as opposed to Torture)
  6. Rights irrespective of borders
  7. Right to Equality before the Law
  8. Right to Petition the Government for Protection of Rights
  9. Right to Fair Detention (as opposed to Unfair Detention)
  10. Right to Trial for Crimes (as opposed to Endless Detention)
  11. Right to Be Innocent until Proven Otherwise
  12. Right to Privacy
  13. Freedom of Movement
  14. Right to be Safe in One's Home
  15. Right to Move Freely
  16. Right to Nationality - although "inmates" were deprived of their nationalities before being sent to Auschwitz
  17. Right to Family
  18. Right to Own Property
  19. Freedom of Conscience
  20. Right to Refuse to Kill
  21. Freedom of Expression
  22. Right to Public Assembly
  23. Right to Fair Wages
  24. Right to Relax / Have Vacation
  25. Right to Medical Treatment

In the film schindlers how did the nazi violate the rights of the Jews?

The whole issue was that the Nazis took away the rights of Jews. They did not have the right to practice their faith, they did not have the right to own property, or to own or run businesses. Human rights as we understand them now did not exist at this time, they were only created after the war. The answer is that the rights of Jews were not violated at all. But the question should be; why did the Jews not have any rights.
