Why did God choose to save Noah from the flood?

In Noah's day, violence had filled the earth because of the angels that had left their position in the heavens, and married women, producing offspring. (Genesis 6:1-4; Jude 6) These filled the earth, until "every inclination of the thoughts of [man's heart was only bad all the time," which resulted in the being ruined (Genesis 6:5, 11, 12) However, Noah was able to avoid all of the corrupt influence of his time, being described as "a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God." (Genesis 6:8, 9) Unlike the ungodly world he lived in, he was still able to accomplish what God required of him. He then entered into a covenant with Jehovah God, as noted in Genesis 6:18. He became "a preacher of righteousness" as well as a builder, as a he warned the wicked generation around him of the impending destruction the flood would cause. (2 Peter 2:5) Noah, out of implicit faith did everything God comanded of him, although those around him didn't believe. This is noted in Genesis 6:22, "according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so." This devout faith was later noted in The Bible book of Hebrews 11:7, 12:1. After completion of the Ark, Jehovah gave Noah instructions to gather the animals into the ark. Shortly after, "Noah went in, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him, into the ark ahead of the waters of the deluge. . . . After that Jehovah shut the door behind him." On that very day "the flood arrived and destroyed them all." (Ge 7:1-16; Lu 17:27) Ultimately, Noah's faithfulness to Jehovah God protected both him and his family, and they received many blessings.

The story of Naoh ends with Noah planting a vineyard, then drinking too much and becoming drunk. Ham, the father of Canaan supposedly took advantage of his father's drunken stupor to homosexually rape him. As a result, neither Ham nor his sons Cush, Mizraim and Phut suffered any punishment, but Noah cursed Ham's son Canaan, and his descendants, to be servants of the others. Here, the symbolism of the Israelites' chief adversary being condemned to servitude is obvious.

Although the Bible says Noah was the ancestor of every person in the world, archaeologists have found no evidence of the remaining 350 years of the life of this remarkable man in the records of the Hebrews, Egyptians, Assyrians or any other nation. The author of Genesis claimed to know that Noah lived another 350 years after the Flood, therefore living until Abraham was some 60 years old, yet he played no further part in the biblical story. He did not use his personal acquaintance with God to argue against the rise of new religions, and Abraham was not aware that he had a living ancestor who could have provided testimony for his God.

Neither Abraham nor any other national leader kept in touch nor sought Noah's advice on any matter. It is as if he and his family ceased to exist once they had fulfilled the biblical role of surviving the Flood.

Genesis 6:8.9 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

.Noah was "a just man ," i.e., righteous, trying to do that which was right in God's sight, and right towards his fellow men; and "perfect in his generations," i.e., living a blameless life among those of his own day and his kinsfolk. He, like Enoch, "walked with God," i.e., loved, trusted, and served God. He also "found grace in the eyes of the Lord," i.e., was pleasing to the Lord, and was accepted by Him.
