Why when you take off does your 94sr5 v6 4wd sound like the engine is overrevving shifting from 1-2 2-3?

The V-6 has a fan clutch that take a couple of minutes to adjust. (the valve inside needs to open after it warms up)Don't rev the engine until it is quiet, otherwise the fan (plastic) will blow apart from being over rev'd (I know from experience, new fan and many other items under hood that needed replacement, including new paint on the hood!)

When the mount is broke off the engine you will hear a loud clicking sound from then engine being unstable and shifting around. Listen close enough and you can hear it shifting when the vehicle jerks.

I'm stumped. Can you help answer this question? This a normal sound for the Sebring, I've had two and they both make that sound when shifting form park to drive. No tranny problems.

That is the neutral safety switch making the click sound.

Every engine makes a sound when starting ... please be more specific.

Engine lope refers to the sound of an engine at idle speed. A stock engine idles very smoothly. An engine with a high performance camshaft will tend to sound more uneven. It almost takes on a sound similar to a galloping horse.

A front or rear hub bearing assembly going bad could sound like that.

An engine might sound like a diesel at operating temperature if the engine was a diesel or if there was an issue with the manifold. Sometimes gases escaping the manifold cover could cause the engine to sound different.

It will make no sound, it will just break. When it breaks your engine will stop running. If the engine is an interference engine you will have serious engine damage.

first question is , is it in a vehicle at this time? if it is , you can tell by a tachometer, or you should be able to tell if the engine speed changes by the sound. the rpm's should drop each time it upshifts, and if it downshifts, the rpm's should increase.

The loud tapping sound can be caused by a complete heating of the engine. Worn tappets can also cause the tapping sound.

yes. including that of a car's engine sound

If there is a pinging sound in a 1995 Honda Civic engine, the engine could be out of oil. If the engine was operated with no oil for a period of time, the rings and pistons could have become damaged or broken.

NO it will not. If you have a knocking sound then you have trouble inside of the engine.

because the engine is starting to run.
