Sometimes pressure from the steering wheel lock will keep you from turning the key switch, try wiggling the steering wheel as you attempt to turn the key.
start by checking your fuses.
On my 2003 Chevy suburban the wiper blades don't stop when you turn off the switch sometimes, i would appreciate any help at all
You might have a battery problem, you could also have a starter or an alternator problem. It is best to take it in to be tested right away and go from there.
Turn key on do not start, push gas pedal all the way to the floor and let all the way off 3 times then turn key off then start truck.
transmission not in park
Righty tighty, lefty loosey.
In order to remove the turn signal lever from a 66 Suburban you have to remove the steering wheel then there is a single Phillips head screw that holds the arm to the switch.
Put the appropriate key in the door, and turn. Or use the remote if you have keyless entry.
I had the same thing happen to me and my 96' suburban. It turned out to be that the battery was shot and wouldn't hold enough of a charge to turn over the engine. Might be the same thing with you.
Is the fuel pressure ? is there spark at the plugs?
push in on the light with your finger and give it a quarter turn
If you are sure that it ran out of fuel and that the fuel pump is running then turn the key on ( Do not try to start it) wait 10 seconds and then turn key off wait 10 seconds and repeat this step about 4 times. Then try to start the engine.
