it's more than likely the switch for the heater.

Blower wont work on all 5 speeds, usually the lower speeds tend to go first.
horn will not stop honking on my 2004 pontica grand am
security lock out had same problem with our 2004 grand am
needs more fluid
Well First of all is buick grand national not pontiac. and you would have a hell of a time to get a mopar engine to go a buick. especially a big block you would have to make several modifications i know for a fact the heater box will be in the way you would have to remove the heater box so you wont have a heater. even a small block would be ALOT of work you would have to modify you moter mounts and tranny cross member and fire wall and possibly floor pans. its not worth it.
The most common problem when a car's heater fan doesn't shut off when the car is shut off is that the resistor on the blower motor has gone bad. The fuse that powers the resistor should also be checked.
I had the same problem with my Grand Am and there is a recall on the ignition switch. I had to take the vehicle to an authorized GM dealer and they replaced it for me at no cost.
My car will shift when i first go but wont shift after that help
It could be that the battery is dead or your starter is bad.
