That is the same situation as mine, first we have to know what kind of company it is made of because there is a different situation depanding what company it is. okay now connect the MP3 to the computer or the charger then if nothing happens then press the reset button. that is the only way. but probably if you press the reset button it will erase everything on your MP3 so save it in the computer so you can put it back when it is fixed.
charge for two days. :)
You should check that the MP4 Player is fully charged. When you plug it in to charge it, it should come on (in one way or another) and show that it is charging. Assuming it has a screen of some sort, it should show a message that reads, "Charging..." or show an icon of some sort (likely a lightning bolt, battery, box filling up, etc.).
If it is fully charged, but will not turn on once it is removed from a power source, then I would recommend holding down the power button for 3-10 seconds and then releasing. After this, if it still doesn't turn on, then I would further recommend that you double check if there is a different button that turns the device on or off that's not immediately apparent.
If it still wont turn on, then it's likely broken or has a black-text-on-a-black-background menu system, which would indicate that your MP4 Player is made by goths and will probably only accept Depeche Mode or Joy Division songs anyway, and should thus be discarded.
what do i do if my mp3 wont turn on i need help asap and if i plug it into the laptop it says device not detected

I had this problem with mine and I was freaking out because the device was only 2 months old. Read on a forum to try holding the power button for about 40 seconds, release it, then try turning it on again.
It worked for me and was an easy solution. I hope it works for you.
have you checked the batteries? they could be dead.
You need a new battery
Because its broken?. -.-
It mean that maybe your eclipse mp3 player is broken and you have to a new one or it means its dead because of low battery
You turn off an mp3 player by holding down the play button. I ♥ mp3's
It probably has water damage, and now does not work. It is dead now.
Take out the battery and dunk it in a bowl of rice, it will absorb the water inside it.
Sorry, mine did that. it's gone forever. I had to buy a new one.
They are probably the wrong file type. Make sure they are .mp3 files.

You did not use the software that came with the player to convert the music to the format the the mp3 player was designed to play.
