Jesus will come back again. But in The Bible, Acts 1:7 says, "He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;'" It's in God's time, not yours or mine or anyone else's.
Jesus need not come down again to sacrifice Himself again; His one sacrifice is enough for all.
because the priests, pastors, immam, rabbi, gurus, swammis, etc., will lose their powers over the true-believers.
Jesus has a resurrected body. He can't be born again and gain another body. He's already got one. Your question is very logical though, as to why he hasn't been sent down again. Mormons believe he has been sent down to convey power, authority, instruction, etc. on a number of occasions. There are a bunch of people who have seen him. He's alive and doing very well. One of these days he will return triumphantly at his Second Coming. It's always been very logical to me that anyone who has the power to ascend into heaven can also travel the opposite direction (come back to earth.) He certainly did it on a number of occasions shortly after his resurrection. We believe he still has the same ability. Good question. Hope that helps.
For one thing... the prophecies tell us that He now has "all power" in heaven and earth -- a power beyond flesh and blood man. Jesus is now "King of kings and Lord of lords" and is coming back with all power to solve the problems of humanity and the world.
"...All power is given unto Me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world [age]. Amen." (Matt.28:18-20)
For another thing... if Jesus walked the earth again in the flesh -- the world would kill Him all over again. And that would be pointless.
The prophecies are written -- and God is working on their fulfillment. Jesus is coming back, shining as the sun at its strength in universal power and glory.
"...then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matt.24:30)
he will return at the end of days (revelations) at the end of the seven years to destroy the anti christ and his army then there will be 1000 years of peace with jesus being the king of earth
The purpose of Jesus mission today is to intercede for us to the heavenly father, as he sits on Gods right hand side.
he is the father of jesus christ
Christians know Jesus to be our Savior - only path to the Father:John 14:6New International Version (NIV) 6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
How is Jesus alive today
The most famous heresy is Arianism, which teaches that Jesus did not exist before he became human. God the Father created him, so while Jesus was in some sense "a god" or "son of God", he was not fully God. Some groups even today believe versions of Arianism.Nestorianism taught that Jesus was just an ordinary man in whom God chose to dwell. So Jesus had two natures, the divine one and the human one, and by degrees he became God.There was also an opposite heresy, Docetism, which taught that Jesus was God but not a real human being - he only seemed (dosein) human. A modified version of this is Monophysitism, which teaches that Jesus is human yet did not have a true human nature, e.g. did not have all of the human bodily functions or desires.Modalism taught that Christ is not in any way separate or different from God the Father. God simply put on his "son" mask to come to earth. Similar heresies were also taught by Monarchianism and Patripassinism.A Polytheistic approach would teach that Christianity has three gods, and that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all separate deities.
Jesus the Christ is God. He came to earth born as a baby. He died on a Roman Cross about 33 years later for our salvation. He was resurrected three days later. If you believe on Him, He will give you eternal life. He lives today and is in heaven with God the Father and will be coming back to earth again. Will you be ready?
Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven and lives today as one of the three personalities of god: father, son, and spirit.
The last seven phrases of Jesus are as follows: 1. Do not weep for me but weep for your children 2. Today you will be with me in paradise. 3. I thirst 4. Father forgive them for they know not what they do. 5. Father, Father, why have you abandoned me. 6. Into your hands I commit my spirit 7. It is finished.
Jesus Christ was resurrected by God The Father on the third day after His death. He is now in Heaven seated at Right Hand of God and will return to Earth in glory.
Matthew12:50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." (spiritually)
No doubt you realize that Jesus did have brothers and sisters. Of course, since he had no human father, they would actually be his half-brothers and sisters, but related to him nonetheless, and of course, he had cousins as well, John the Baptist being the most well-known. Unfortunately, most likely all records of the birth of Jesus and other family members would have been destroyed when the Romans sacked Jerusalem in the year 70. For that reason, we cannot trace Jesus family tree and have no idea who may be related to him today. That is also why we do not know the actual date of Jesus' birth.
Jesus is Lord.
Jesus was Both human and divine Christians believe that Jesus was fully human - with human needs and emotions (in the Bible we are told that he ate, drank, wept, got angry, bled, and so on). If God had not become fully human then salvation would not be possible according to Christian doctrine. Also, Christians believe that Jesus was fully divine - and not somehoow subservient to a 'higher' God. Christians believe that Jesus was the third person in a Trinitarian God - the Father, the Holy Spirit - and the Son, Jesus, all as one God, yet three persons. Although each individual in the Trinity has its own function (ie The Father alone knows when the end of the world will come, Jesus alone is the means to Salvation and will be the Judge of all, the Holy Spirit alone is the means for God to reveal himself to us), Christians believe that Jesus is fully God. Some sects believe that Jesus is not divine in the same way as the majority of Christians (eg Jehovah's Witnesses) but Jesus himself claimed to divine in many references in the gospels, as well as claiming to be fully human. He claimed it of Himself, and proved it by His works on earth, and proves it by the way He works in people's lives today. Taste and see, repent and trust in Him and you'll understand the why and the how in a much clearer way.
yes. they are the main carriers of jesus' mission today
Jesus loved and still loves many things: his friends on earth eg. Lazarus, his earthly mother and father, his father God in Heaven. And today Jesus still loves all the people of the earth including the Romans who crucified him, the people who mock him, those who don't know anything about him, those who wonder who he is and those who have invited him to be their God. To say it simply, Jesus loves everyone!
well today is June 21st 2012 and on this Jesus infact did take a crap in the crapper which we call today the crapper.
Yes, Jesus is seated at the right-hand-side of the Father, as the bible states. The Holy Spirit is on the earth as stated in the Holy Bible also. Jesus said, just before he went up into heaven that He would send the Comforter to us (the Holy Spirit), and He did.
We assume he died around the age of 33, however he was resurrected three days later and is alive and well today.
Jesus said to the criminal that today you shall be with me in paradise.
Jesus' homeland was what today we call Israel.
Jesus must have had a toy, but certainly not like today.
He is God, part of the trinity.
Jesus is everywhere.Like God (His Father), He is omnipresent, which means present everywhere. He is in heaven and on the Earth - everywhere. No grave or bones have ever been found that belong to Jesus. There have been many hoaxes, but unlike prophets of other religions, He has no grave anywhere.
That Jesus is present with us today in our lives.
